Projects that I have worked on include production of sales and information literature, including website copy, on a variety of subjects, for several local companies and Individuals. I have also undertaken proofreading for college and university students in a variety of fields as well as having articles published in specialist magazines on a variety of subjects ranging from Vintage Caravan Restoration to Natural Health Products.
My employment history has necessitated a particular eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines for demanding customers. I have a lot of experience of working and communicating with people for whom English is a second language.
I have an excellent command of the English language and while I don’t have a degree in English, what I do have is the experience and the ability to spot mistakes in text and make sense of what is being written. Much of my practical experience of proofreading comes from reading literally thousands of texts including novels in all genres, all kinds of media, magazines, sales literature, technical manuals, software etc. and having errors literally ‘jump out of the page’ at me.
