Professional proofreading and editing does cost money, but will ensure that errors and mistakes do not cost you more. There’s nothing worse than having to reprint documents after you’ve dispatched them, not just in monetary terms but also in credibility, not to mention embarrassment when a client or customer calls you to tell you of the errors.
Isn't it better that a proofreader/editor checks your document and gives you the feedback such as that a part of it doesn’t make sense, so that you have a chance to amend it before publication or submission? Surely this is a better alternative to you sending out copies of an unchecked document to customers, who at best, will spot errors and at worst, won't understand it?
